Join the Semestry Team



We're currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our Semestry Development Team. Semestry is our powerful software solution designed to tackle the complex timetabling and scheduling challenges faced by higher education institutions. It helps universities streamline their planning, enhance curriculum delivery, and ultimately improve the student and faculty experience through smart scheduling insights and features.



This is a full-time, permanent role with a fully remote working arrangement. Occasional travel may be required.



The Role



As a Software Engineer working on our MyTimeTable platform, you'll play a key role in developing, maintaining, and reimagining our advanced timetabling and scheduling solutions. You'll be part of a collaborative team shaping the next generation of our platform--bringing innovative ideas to life that deliver real value to our customers.



You will:



Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to deliver high-quality software solutions

Work closely with Software Architects, Developers, and Testers to turn requirements into real features

Tackle bugs and technical challenges with thoughtful, effective solutions

Continuously improve and enhance existing software to boost performance and functionality

Share ideas and contribute to the evolution of our product--always looking for ways to improve usability and efficiency



The Skills you'll need:



We're looking for someone with experience in full stack web-based software development

Proficiency in Spring Boot and the broader Spring Framework

A strong understanding of writing secure, scalable, and high-quality code



It would be great if you had:



Experience in Front-end technologies like React.

API design and integration with third-party systems

Containerised applications (e.g., Docker)

Deploying to cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure)

CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
