Eurofins Forensic Services (EFS) laboratories are amongst the most advanced analytical facilities in Europe, enabling the company to offer a complete and comprehensive range of independent and innovative forensic testing solutions to police forces, legal and criminal justice organisations throughout the UK and Europe.

We are looking for a software engineer with hands-on full stack experience in application development to help deliver an exciting roadmap of transformational work across the Forensics divisions in the UK and Europe. As a developer on the team, you will work with other developers, testers and the product owner to design and implement technical solutions enabling the team to deliver features and stories for our product roadmap. This role is remote, with the flexibility to attend meetups in Birmingham and Tamworth as needed.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• You trust your software - you know how it works, how to break it (and fix it)
• Iteration planning and estimation
• Increasing your development experience and knowledge
• Taking responsibility for pull requests and contributing to tech decisions together with the team and other stakeholders
• Contributing to and maintaining team documentation wikis

What you will be doing

• Front end SPA development with Blazor
• .NET Core API development with C#
• Entity Framework

Qualifications
As a full stack software engineer, you'll have experience of the full software development life cycle in an agile team including story estimation, planning and grooming a product backlog. Technically you should have practical experience building sustainable, scalable, and well-documented APIs and front-end SPA framework experience. You should also have a good working knowledge of the tools to do the job such as Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, GIT Source control and SQL Server Management Studio / Azure Data Studio.
Desirable Skills

• Continuous Integration and Deployment using Azure DevOps
• Experience with Hangfire, RabbitMQ, MongoDB
• Use of Test Driven Development and writing Unit Tests

Due to the highly sensitive nature of the work, applicants should note that security clearance is required for this role. To gain security clearance you must have five years continuous residency in the UK. Security clearance is undertaken by a third party to police personnel vetting standards (NPPV/3 and SC), as such any criminal convictions may prevent you from gaining security clearance.
