We're looking for an enthusiastic and inquisitive Software Engineer with a passion for TIBCO, API, and Middleware integration. You'll need to think creatively to solve problems and meet user requirements. Be ready to research and quickly learn new techniques, languages, and frameworks. You'll be responsible for securely developing, delivering, and operating applications with a strong integration mindset.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-skilled agile team in IT BTG - Engineering. You will be part of the development of our core systems, working with a Middleware Integration mindset. Your role will involve securely developing, delivering, and operating applications.
Accountabilities
Design and deliver innovative solutions that effectively solve problems and meet user requirements.
Champion and apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) and other software delivery best practices.
Demonstrate hands-on expertise in TIBCO technology development, with experience building microservices applications, preferably using TIBCO Flogo or BusinessWorks Container Edition.
Contribute to peer reviews and produce necessary technical documentation.
Apply hands-on experience and strong knowledge of HTTP, API Design, REST/SOAP web services, messaging protocols, and security frameworks.
Proactively identify and act on opportunities for system, service, or product improvement and development.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our technical excellence and ways of working within Squad, Chapter, and Guild forums.
Possess familiarity with databases, particularly PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
Elaborate high-level solutions and create detailed low-level designs that adhere to established standards.
Actively contribute to and drive progress on the technical roadmap.
Identify and take ownership of Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).
Actively encourage, drive technical demonstrations, and provide essential knowledge transfer throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Knowledge and Experience Required
Hands-on Software Engineer with over 5 years of experience building microservices applications, preferably using TIBCO Flogo or BusinessWorks Container Edition.
Demonstrable experience working with at least three (3) TIBCO technologies, such as: TIBCO BusinessWorks Container Edition, TIBCO Flogo, TIBCO APIM, TIBCO Messaging, TIBCO FTL, Apache Pulsar.
Strong hands-on knowledge of HTTP, API Design, REST/SOAP web services, messaging, and security frameworks.
Familiarity with databases, specifically PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Proficient in using standard development tools and IDEs, including Docker Desktop, Git/GitHub, Postman, SOAP UI, Atlassian Jira, and Confluence.
Experience with standard build tools like Apache Maven.
Working knowledge of creating and modifying YAML/YML, XML, JSON files, and Groovy scripts.
Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Azure DevOps.
Proven experience working within an agile environment and actively participating in regular agile ceremonies.
Knowledge and experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and related GCP services, or similar cloud container orchestration technologies.
Desirable
Proficient in observability tools, covering logging, tracing, event monitoring, and health monitoring.
Solid knowledge and experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and related GCP services.
Demonstrable experience in delivering applications within the financial services or insurance sectors.
Experience utilizing analysis and monitoring tools such as Kibana, Heap, AppDynamics, or Google Tag Manager (GTM).
Familiarity with security-related frameworks and tools, including Prisma Cloud (or similar, if specific Prisma Cloud isn't meant just "Prisma") and SonarQube.
