Business AI (BizAI) is one of the key company priorities in 2025 for Meta and also one of the hottest/most competitive fields across the entire industry. BizAI London is focused on making significant progress in AI-powered content generation for ads applications. In the past 3-4 years, generative AI has seen some of the most significant breakthroughs ever achieved, particularly in large language models and generative image models. Our mission is to lead the charge in applied generative AI technology and build products that will help businesses become more productive and efficient. More specifically, the London team is focused on video generation and transformation to help advertisers create high performance video ads more easily on Meta platforms.Some of the work that team is involved in includes: Building Full Video Generation for Ads. Building Spatial and Temporal Transformations of Video Ads. We are a team of engineers, entrepreneurs, and PhDs, thanks to our track-record of outsized impact and industry contributions, we have been entrusted with working on large scale multi-year transformative initiatives such as full video generation and video transformations. We are looking for engineers who are capable of doing applied research and work on the bleeding edge of technology while also being entrepreneurs by having creative ideas and iterating to get them from 0 to 1. You will work in a highly cross-functional environment and partner with Research Scientist, Front-End and Back-End Engineers from all Infrastructure/Product teams to bring your ideas to life.

Software Engineering - EMEA - IC6 Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, operations, infrastructure) to build innovative application experiences Implement custom user interfaces using latest programming techniques and technologies Develop reusable software components for interfacing with back-end platforms Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, and performance Lead complex technical or product efforts and provide technical guidance to peers Architect efficient and scalable systems that drive complex applications Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues Work on a variety of coding languages and technologies Establish ownership of components, features, or systems with expert end-to-end understanding

Minimum Qualifications:

Programming experience in a relevant language Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience Track record of setting technical direction for a team, driving consensus and successful cross-functional partnerships Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, data mining, artificial intelligence, or a related technical field Proven experience to translate insights into business recommendations Experience with developing machine learning models at scale from inception to business impact Knowledge developing and debugging in C/C++ and Java, or experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, PHP, and/or shell scripts Experience improving quality through thoughtful code reviews, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes Exposure to architectural patterns of large scale software applications Experience with scripting languages such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Python, JavaScript or Hack
