We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our Global Engineering team and be responsible for leading a team of software engineers. You will set the prioritization and direction for your team and develop your team through mentorship and coaching. You will have a customer first mindset and be a strong collaborator and communicator. About the Role




As a Software Engineering Manager you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations. First and foremost, you will coach and grow the individuals on your team so they feel supported and engaged.


You will also be responsible for keeping track of the projects the teams are working on, facilitating cross-team discussions when necessary and deciding on the future direction of the team (what projects they will focus on next). You will collaborate with UX, Product and other development teams to deliver best-in-class solutions for our customers. Specifically, your focus will be to:

Directly manage a team of Software Engineers, coaching and mentoring team members, including scoping work and prioritising tasks Mentor engineers and help grow their skills, identify growth areas, set expectations and provide feedback Manage projects and socialising progress across engineering teams and leadership Keep a keen eye on quality, and continue to drive improvements to testing, monitoring and alerting Work cross functionally with PM, UX and Engineering to address specific customer pain points and to think strategically about the future direction of the product Work closely with other managers and teams across the InsightVM product to align efforts and initiatives Kickstart new ideas, build proof of concepts and jumpstart newly funded projects Work closely with other managers and teams across the InsightVM product to align efforts and initiatives

The skills and qualities you'll bring include:



Previous experience in managing engaged and high performing software engineering teams with a track record in developing and mentoring software engineers at all levels A demonstrable passion for all things software engineering with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and the ability to read code A solid pulse on the security landscape Brings a customer-first mindset to engineering with the ability to drive that throughout your teams, understanding the customers needs and and integrating customer impact into everyday decision making Strong cross-functional skills, with the ability and desire to build relationships with other teams including Product Management, UX and engineering teams to achieve broader company objectives Solid communicator with the ability to clearly convey objectives and rationale whilst fostering commitment from others both within the team and cross functionally Experience with managing multiple, high-impact projects Capable of managing through high-intensity situations when they arise BEng, BSc or related technical field or equivalent practical experience Core Value Embodiment: Embody our core values to foster a culture of excellence that drives meaningful impact and collective success
