We're looking for a

Software Product Owner

to join Rowden's

Forward Deployed Team

, supporting the delivery of mission-critical mobile applications for military users. You'll work at the intersection of product, users and delivery - shaping Android-based apps that are operationally relevant, intuitive, and robust in demanding environments. You'll need to be mission-driven, flexible, comfortable with ambiguity, and confident working closely with people to get things done.



You'll be based in our Bristol HQ, with the flexibility to work from home. The role is fully dedicated to a high-priority customer project. You won't be forward deployed full-time, but you'll work closely with stakeholders and users, spending time on site weekly or fortnightly (site is approx. 90 minutes from Bristol). Some months may require more frequent visits.

Key Responsibilities





As Software Product Owner you'll:Define and own the product direction for a suite of operational Android applications Work with a dedicated external software delivery team to ensure outcomes align with user needs Collaborate with military users and customer stakeholders to shape priorities Partner with a Rowden Principal Product Owner to steer product delivery Maintain agile delivery processes: backlogs, prioritisation, user stories and iteration planning Ensure each release is functional, relevant, and ready for its intended environment

What you'll bring

Experience delivering software products in agile environments Mobile (Android) development experience Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Background in public sector or defence settings (desirable) Eligible for or already hold SC clearance
