We are building the future backbone of public sector data. We are seeking a Software Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of critical software projects. This role is instrumental in delivering systems used daily by hundreds of thousands of citizens.

Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled Software Project Manager to oversee and manage software development projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of software development methodologies. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet the desired quality standards.

Duties



Lead and manage software development projects using methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile. Work with UIUX Designers, Engineers, DevOps and Security experts Coordinate project activities, resources, and timelines to ensure successful delivery. Utilise tools such as Jira for tracking project progress and managing tasks effectively. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate software functionality against requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates. Analyse project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues. Manage release management processes to ensure smooth deployment of software updates. Create detailed project documentation using tools like Visio and Excel to maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.

Skills



Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira. Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies. Experience in release management processes within software development. Excellent analytical skills to assess project performance and identify areas for improvement. Familiarity with Visio and Lucidchart for creating project diagrams and flowcharts. Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting purposes. Knowledge of Waterfall methodology alongside Agile practices in software development. Strong background in software development processes and lifecycle management. Ability to conduct user acceptance testing effectively to ensure product quality.
