WHAT TO EXPECT

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Software Quality specialist to join our growing Chassis Domain Software Group, this team designs, develops and validates software intensive systems that deliver the functional requirements of the vehicle programmes

The Chapter Lead will support the Chapter Head in developing & delivering the Technical/Process roadmaps required to support the development and delivery of Software Quality across our projects

As a custodian of the core software capability for our projects, you will lead the Chapter defining and developing strategy, processes and platforms for our Autonomous, Connected, Electric and Shared architecture of the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support & guide Chapter members in the development and delivery of systems solutions in accordance to the system design specification to meet the defined customer requirements
  • Support & guide Chapter members in the process control for embedded software according to the appropriate JLR QMS process (Aspice L3), ISO26262, UNECE 156, RACE, SPDP etc, through continuous improvement of Quality Management System processes
  • Work closely with the Central Software Quality Support Chapters; participating in and leading functional activities such as strategy development, global process standardisation and improvements
  • Audit Software Scorecards (Supplier & In-House) inline with company processes
  • Ensure consistent and efficient delivery processes of software across the range of JLR vehicles
  • Provide technical input & support to Product Squads (Programme/Unit on-cycle & Off Cycle) & other Chapters
  • Provide support across the operational team on topics relating to Software Quality and harmonisation of multiple interconnected systems including issue resolution and objective data analysis
  • Lead training, adoption & supporting material for Software quality processes across the Chassis Domain
WHAT YOU\'LL NEED

Essential:
  • Working knowledge of ISO26262 & ASpice
  • Experience of working with software control systems or similar complex systems
  • Engineering or Programme Management Degree or recognised relevant experience through professional development
  • Experience in leading projects across a range of Engineering Quality processes
  • Experience in delivering programme and change management activites, ensuring high quality software
  • Expertise in Application Lifecycle Management systems
