Job Summary
A detail-oriented and customer-focused Software Sales Associate to support and manage the day-to-day servicing of our key strategic software accounts. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the success, satisfaction and retention of our customers by driving optimisation, consolidation, operational efficiencies and effective renewals management.
As a key liaison between our clients, sales teams and software vendors, the Software Sales Associate ensures seamless onboarding, and identifies opportunities for optimisation and growth. Your work will directly contribute to customer satisfaction, renewal rates and the overall success of long-term client partnerships.
What you will do
Own day-to-day service delivery and support for assigned strategic accounts, ensuring contractual commitments are met and value exceeds SLAs
Guide new customers through onboarding, ensuring successful setup and integration of software solutions, and establishing clear expectations and goals.
Act as the voice of the customer internally by tracking and communicating needs, pain points, and feedback to internal teams.
Monitor usage patterns and proactively identify gaps or opportunities to increase engagement and product utilisation.
Triage and resolve licensing queries in collaboration with vendor teams, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
Support renewal strategies by ensuring ongoing client satisfaction, value realisation, and relationship management.
Preferred skills, experience, and qualities needed
Previous software licensing sales experience working with large accounts, reseller, distribution or vendor role.
Hold latest software sales and licensing accreditations or achieve within 3 months for Citrix, VMware, or RedHat.
Additional vendor accreditation as required by business.
Experience of vendor audit reviews and Install Base Reports.
Strong working knowledge of the following vendors: Citrix, VMware, Adobe, Red Hat and Mimecast.
Skilled in presenting licensing models and agreement structures to clients.
Experience with Microsoft Office (intermediate/advanced Excel knowledge an advantage).
Understanding of RFP and Tender processes and experience with providing a response.
Understanding of Tail-End requirements of clients and delivering cost savings/cost avoidance.
Desire to retain the highest levels of accreditation in the area of specialist focus.
