About the Role
We're looking for a Software Test Engineer with a curious mindset, a strong analytical approach, and a talent for creative, out-of-the-box thinking. Whether you're early in your career or already bring deep testing experience, what matters most is your enthusiasm for solving problems, improving quality, and making a real impact on how we evolve our condition monitoring products.
You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering agile software test solutions that ensure our products are robust, reliable, and ready for our customers. This is a place where new ideas are encouraged, and where you'll have every opportunity to grow, innovate, and shape our testing approach.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Test Planning, Design & Execution
Develop and execute test plans, define test strategies, and identify testing risks.
Review requirements and specifications to ensure clarity and testability.
Design, write, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and non-functional testing as required.
Set up, manage, and maintain test environments and test data.
Technical Development & Automation
Apply relevant testing tools, techniques, and engineering principles to support product development.
Contribute to developing and improving automated test frameworks and scripts.
Select and apply appropriate methods and technologies to deliver effective testing outcomes.
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain systems and processes supporting software testing activities.
Problem Solving & Quality Improvement
Identify issues, analyse root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Suggest and drive improvements to testing processes, methodologies, and frameworks.
Ensure all testing meets internal standards, best practices, and safety requirements.
Document defects clearly and report results, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Leadership, Collaboration & Delivery
Take ownership of personal work and support or supervise others when required.
Allocate and oversee testing tasks where appropriate.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues across engineering, as well as customers and suppliers.
Work closely with engineering leadership to achieve project and business objectives.
Maintain strong customer focus throughout development and delivery.
Professional Development
Maintain and record Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to enhance technical expertise.
Stay current with evolving technologies, testing practices, and industry trends.
About you
We're looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about software testing and driven by the role it plays in creating high-quality products.
You approach challenges with a strong analytical mindset, breaking down complex issues into meaningful insights. You enjoy thinking creatively, exploring different ways to test, validate, and strengthen our products.
You communicate clearly, collaborate well across technical and non-technical teams, and take ownership of your work with a proactive and curious attitude.
You're adaptable and comfortable switching between hands-on testing, investigating defects, shaping processes, or contributing ideas to improve how we work.
Experience with condition monitoring, embedded systems or industrial technologies, along with exposure to Agile working practices and Atlassian Cloud tools, would be advantageous but is not essential. Above all, we're looking for someone eager to learn, contribute and grow.
Whether you're starting your career or bring more experience and the confidence to mentor others, you'll find this role rewarding and full of opportunity.
We believe in equal opportunities
We believe teamwork, no matter where you're from or how you identify, we're committed to building a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
We're looking for hardworking, passionate individuals to join our team. When you come on board, we'll provide the support and opportunities you need to unlock your potential and do your best work.
We're committed to ensuring an accessible and comfortable experience for everyone. If there's anything we can do to make your application process or working environment more accommodating, please let us know--either in your application or by reaching out directly. We'll be more than happy to help.
If you don't meet all the requirements but think you might still be right for the role, please apply anyway. We're always keen to speak to people who connect with our mission and values
