Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, construction, and renewable energy systems. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems in residential and commercial settings. Your expertise in high voltage and low voltage systems, along with your ability to read schematics and blueprints, will be essential in ensuring the successful implementation of solar projects.

Responsibilities

Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted systems. Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement and configuration of solar systems. Perform electrical work including fixture installation, wiring, and connection of solar panels to the electrical grid. Troubleshoot and repair solar energy systems as needed. Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during installations. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely and effectively on construction sites. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Experience

Proven experience as an electrician or in a related field with a focus on commercial electrical work. Familiarity with high voltage and low voltage systems is essential. Experience reading blueprints and schematics for electrical installations. Background in construction site operations with hands-on experience using power tools and hand tools. Previous roofing experience is preferred for safe panel installation on rooftops. Knowledge of plumbing may be beneficial for system integration purposes. A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work is required.
