Job Title: Solar PV Contracts Manager



Location: Cambridge



Salary: Negotiable on Experience



The Role



As a Solar PV Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of contractual aspects for our solar projects, from initial tendering through to project handover. You will ensure that all contracts are commercially sound, technically compliant, and protect the company's best interests while maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors. The specific contract is to oversee and deliver Solar PV installs to domestic properties, ranging from 5-10 installs per week. All handover documentation, quality control, programming of work, ordering materials, liaising with the Client.

Key Responsibilities



Contract Management:

Oversee the complete tender process, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts (e.g., EPC agreements, subcontracts, vendor terms).

Project Delivery:

Manage projects from the pre-construction phase through to commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery aligns with program goals and budgets.

Risk Management:

Identify potential contractual and commercial risks and implement effective strategies to mitigate them.

Stakeholder Liaison:

Serve as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Financial Oversight:

Coordinate project budgets, manage cost control, and monitor project finances, including invoicing and change orders.

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure all project activities adhere to regulatory requirements and safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular progress reports to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience



Education:

Solar qualifications, ECS / CSCS Card, SMSTS/SSSTS (we can help with SMSTS where required)

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in contract management, preferably within the solar PV or wider renewable energy/construction industry.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of the solar project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

Skills:

Exceptional negotiation, communication, and organisational skills. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Personal Attributes:

Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and a proactive, self-starter attitude.
