Solar PV Roofer

to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with a lead electrician and another roofer to install solar PV panels safely and efficiently. If you have roofing experience and a passion for renewables, this is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career in a growing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Solar Panel Installation:

Install and secure solar PV panels onto pitched and flat roofs, ensuring safe and high-quality workmanship.

Roof Preparation:

Assess roof conditions, prepare mounting systems, and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper installation.

Team Collaboration:

Work alongside another roofer and follow guidance from the lead electrician to complete projects on time and to high standards.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring all work at height is performed safely using the correct equipment.

Problem-Solving:

Identify and address roofing challenges during installations, maintaining efficiency and quality.

Customer Interaction:

Maintain a professional and friendly approach when communicating with clients on-site.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience in roofing, preferably with solar PV installations.

Roofing Skills:

Strong knowledge of working on pitched and flat roofs, installing mounting systems, and ensuring structural integrity.

Health & Safety:

Experience working at heights and following industry safety guidelines.

Teamwork:

Ability to work collaboratively with a small team, taking direction from the lead electrician.

Driving License:

Full UK driving licence required.

Physical Requirements:

Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions. Capable of lifting and handling heavy equipment and solar panels.

Additional Benefits:

Salary:

28,000 per annum

Van & Fuel Card:

Provided for all work-related travel.

Location:

Work based within the Hereford, Gloucester, Bristol and Somerset regions.
