Solicitor (adult Social Care And Education)
Job Description
A really exciting opportunity has arisen within Legal, Governance & Planning for a permanent role for a lawyer who specialises in or wishes to develop a career dealing with a varied caseload, covering Adult Social Care legal work. We are currently recruiting a solicitor, barrister, or FILEX to join our busy, friendly, and highly motivated Adult Social Care legal team.
The main purpose of the role will be to provide legal advice and representation to Adult Social Care and to advise on Care Act 2014 duties, COP, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Ordinary Residence and Direct Payments. A knowledge of Education and SEND law is desirable.
The successful candidates will be expected to hold their own case load and to conduct advocacy when required.
12 months post qualification experience in Adult Social Care law is desirable. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team, an ability to think on their feet and must have excellent communication skills.
