Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Solicitor's Apprentice to join our Clinical Negligence New Enquiry Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to begin their legal career, gain hands-on experience in clinical negligence matters, and progress toward qualification as a solicitor in due course.

Key Responsibilities:




Assist the New Enquiry Team in processing incoming medical negligence enquiries and cases. Support case preparation by gathering information, reviewing documents, and liaising with clients. Draft basic correspondence and documents under supervision, including letters to clients, healthcare providers, and expert witnesses. Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with professional and procedural standards. Communicate with clients sensitively and professionally, ensuring they feel supported and informed. Collaborate with solicitors and other team members to ensure efficient case handling. Take part in training and development opportunities aimed at progressing toward qualification.

Requirements and Attributes:




Strong interest in a career in clinical negligence law. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Empathy and professionalism when dealing with clients, many of whom may be vulnerable or distressed. Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop legal skills. Prior administrative or legal work experience is desirable but not essential.
