As we continue to grow, we are looking for experienced Court of Protection Solicitors (1+ years PQE) to join our specialist Court of Protection (Health & Welfare).
The Opportunity:
You will take on a varied and interesting caseload, including:
Applications under s.16 and s.21A of the Mental Capacity Act 2005
Deputyship matters and Lasting Powers of Attorney
Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
Regular work with the Official Solicitor
Develop and support junior team members
This role offers the chance to step into or work towards a leadership position, with mentoring and progression pathways available.
What We're Looking For
:
You're a motivated and compassionate solicitor, committed to upholding the rights of vulnerable individuals. You're ready to make an impact in a busy and meaningful area of law.
Key Requirements:
Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 1+ years of PQE in Court of Protection
Experience handling Health & Welfare matters and legal aid funded cases
Confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
Strong drafting, advocacy, and client communication skills
Familiarity with CCMS and legal aid processes (preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
