Background

Our team of expert military solicitors ensure service personnel and their families have access to specialist advice they need.

The role

The role will focus on injury claims where service personnel have not been adequately protected from illness or injury.

To Handle a mixed caseload of general personal injury work, incorporating clinical negligence and industrial disease, with a particular focus on Hugh James conduct of carcinogenic claims arising from military service with the Ministry of Defence. Conduct a wide range of general personal injury cases Maintaining a good knowledge of CPR and the law relating to personal injury Providing advice to clients on sensitive matters Draft witness statements and pleadings Reviewing medical reports and provide appropriate advice Instructing and communicating with Counsel Dealing with highly complex conferences Working with other solicitors to develop and help maintain good client relationships and knowledge within clinical negligence Maintaining a professional attitude If required, supervise other fee earners Attending legal clinics in various locations Signposting clients to relevant legal services Taking initial enquiries from clients Updating clients on their claim


The successful candidate will be able to practically manage their own caseload with supervision and provide support to more senior lawyers.

Skills & Qualifications

Strong organisation and time management skills are a key element to this role as is the ability to work under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines. Excellent client care skills are also a must.
