West Berkshire Council's Legal and Democratic Service is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Lawyer (Contracts) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and support, to a range of stakeholders, on Contract matters.

As a Contracts Lawyer, your key responsibilities will include:
Providing legal advice and support on a wide range of contract and procurement matters
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements
Advising on compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure effective contract management
About You
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
UK qualified solicitor or barrister, with a valid practising certificate, or chartered legal executive
Extensive experience in contract and procurement law
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Ability to provide clear and pragmatic legal advice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Team player with a positive and collaborative approach
