Are you passionate about clinical negligence law and looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic legal environment? Fletchers Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Solicitor (or equivalent legal professional) to join our respected Medical Law Service.


In this pivotal role, you will support our Medical Legal Acceptance Team by assessing clinical negligence leads to determine the viability of potential cases. Your legal expertise will be instrumental in identifying opportunities where there are sufficient prospects to proceed. Youll also act as a trusted advisor, offering legal guidance and support across our Medical Law Services Teams.

Main Responsibilities

:


To review clinical negligence leads reviewed by the medical legal team and SIDSS. To accept at RA1 any cases which satisfy the acceptance criteria as set out in the firms policy document. To identify on risk assessment the relevant date of knowledge, record on Proclaim and record the reasons why the limitation period has been set to that date. Provide training, guidance and support to Medical Law Services and Fletchers lawyers as necessary. To support systems teams with the development of the SIDSS system. To provide legal guidance to the MLS Teams and where needed assist with case progression.

Essential Skills and Experience:




Experience of handling clinical negligence claims Excellent attention to detail Excellent case management skills Good knowledge of medical conditions and ability to identify appropriate case categories

To have precise and high-level attention to detail Analytical skills and a methodical approach Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards Excellent communication skills Ability to work as a team member and remotely

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Experience of Proclaim or other software tools for example Adobe, Microsoft
