About the role:




We are seeking an experienced and motivated qualified Solicitor to lead our dynamic team of paralegals. This is a fantastic opportunity for a legal professional with a strong background in housing law and residential conveyancing, particularly in shared ownership schemes, to take on a leadership role and make a meaningful impact.



You will manage a team handling a broad spectrum of residential property matters including shared ownership sales, leasehold purchases, staircasing, and resales. Your expertise will ensure high standards of legal service delivery, compliance, and client satisfaction.



This role is a fixed term contract, based in our London office (Covent Garden) with hybrid working arrangements of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home, if required.


Key Responsibilities:




Team Management:




Lead and mentor a team fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Oversee daily operations and ensure timely completion of shared ownership and conveyancing matters. Support professional development and training of junior team members.

Legal Oversight:




Provide expert legal advice on shared ownership, leasehold transactions, staircasing, and resales. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Homes England guidelines. Resolve complex legal issues and deliver clear, actionable guidance to internal stakeholders.

Compliance & Regulation:




Maintain adherence to AML regulations and other statutory obligations. Update internal policies and procedures in line with legal and regulatory developments.

Client Interaction:




Prepare and present legal documentation to internal and external clients. Deliver training sessions and legal updates across departments.

About you



Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales. Ideally, we seek candidates with 6 years' PQE. However, we are open to considering all candidates who can demonstrate the necessary skills for this role. Post qualified experience in housing law and residential conveyancing. Proven leadership experience and ability to manage a legal team. Strong communication skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to handle complex cases and provide strategic legal advice. Flexible and proactive approach to work. In-depth knowledge of shared ownership schemes, housing management, and conveyancing processes.
