As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a wide range of technical solutions for our customers across a variety of projects and sectors and will be working with the latest geospatial and enterprise technologies.

Your key responsibilities as a Solution Architect will be to:



Understand our customers and their business

: understand how Esri technology can help them be more successful

Technical Design

: use your Enterprise IT and Esri platform architectures experience to design and deliver scalable, commercially viable solutions based on the latest cloud patterns.

Identify Opportunities:

helpour Customer Success Managers identify new opportunities where geospatial technology, data and workflows can add value to our customers' businesses

Innovate:

deliver innovative projects, using the latest technology and explore key technology trends (IoT, real-time GIS, big data analytics, AI/ML, 3D, and digital twins)

Provide Technical Leadership

: and mentoring to other technical staff, contributing to the broader technical strategy within our business.

Have a track-record of successfully engaging with customers with significant, hands-on experience in the design, configuration, and deployment of Enterprise systems Have a deep knowledge of databases, web, applications, integration, software engineering, networks, clouds such as AWS or Azure, disaster recovery and high availability systems Are comfortable with GIS technologies and geospatial data. Experience of designing geospatial solutions is required, but detailed knowledge of ArcGIS is not essential for this role Understand cybersecurity principles and practices, with a working knowledge of firewalls, zero-trust, SAML Are familiar with automation, Azure DevOps, Notebooks and Serverless compute Can talk comfortably with developers working with a range of different languages such as Python and JavaScript Are comfortable with REST APIs and designing solutions that use them Can build great relationships and engage effectively with key stakeholders

Flexible working

- we all work flexibly. You can be home or office based (Edinburgh, Aylesbury or Cambridge), or a mixture of both. We work virtual-first with most of our customers, however some travel to customer sites and Esri UK offices will be required.

Security:

Because of the types of data and clients we work with, all our positions require successful candidates to undergo government security clearance, possibly to higher levels (for which we pay an additional salary premium). Because of this we require individuals to be UK Nationals, who have been resident in the UK, continuously, for the last 10 years.
