ROLE PURPOSE:

  • Supporting the Enterprise Architecture Lead in defining and delivering the target state architecture for the 4th UK National Lottery transition period.
  • Architect Digital applications across Web, mobile and back-end features across our transformation programme.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyse functional and non-functional requirements to derive solution architecture
  • Liaise closely with agile development teams to tease out requirements and collaborate on design approaches.
  • Analyse the legacy technology environments and integrations to derive and design more modern holistic solutions, detecting critical deficiencies and recommending enhancements and improvements.
  • Production of high and low level design documents
  • Designing, developing, and implementing our digital gaming platforms, product architecture and integrations across a range of web, mobile and back end systems.
  • Experience of frameworks, integrations and design patterns for developing secure business applications at scale.
  • Strong analysis and problem solving, ideally with some coding and scripting skills
  • Track record of Working with Data and product Architects to design enterprise class high performance solutions that are built for scale within diverse estates with multiple integrations
  • comprehensive knowledge and application of modern Security Design Principles
  • Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, MS Azure)
  • Work with Enterprise and Solutions Architects to analyse and produce key design artefacts
  • Working with the Delivery teams on the implementation of low-level designs
  • Work closely with the Technology team and partners to ensure system capacity (on-premise or in cloud) is available for successful project delivery
  • Designing, documenting and liaising with 3rd parties to support planned technology implementations and the changes required to digital operations.
  • Document where necessary Solution Architecture design and analysis work for communication, integration, maintenance, and assessment / audit

  • The provided solutions design adhere to Allwyn Architecture principles
  • The provided solutions are deliverable according to the Transition plan schedule
  • The provided solutions successfully support the integration of legacy infrastructure and system KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A true multi-disciplinary background within Solution Architecture with expert knowledge of the following: back end systems and integrations, Web and Mobile frameworks, Cloud (AWS/Azure) technologies.
  • Track record of designing for Scale on site applications with millions of users
  • Technical experience working with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
  • Practical experience of modern development practices around IDEs, automated build, test, deploy, reporting etc across the digital stacks.
  • Working with Architecture frameworks (TOGAF), modelling languages (UML/ArchiMate/BPMN) in enterprise environments.
  • Experience liaising with 3rd party suppliers and stakeholders to deliver complex business applications.
  • Working within IT service delivery frameworks such ITIL and project methodologies such as Prince2/PMP/Agile/SAFE
  • Ideally working within a regulated gambling, gaming or financial service company in a similar role.
  • Delivering high and low level designs across multiple, concurrent projects
  • 5-7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a Solution Architect role
  • Experience of creating a narrative and being able to communicate complicated technology change stories in an effective manner.
  • Excellent communication skills. Expert in influencing and motivating individuals and teams and used to operating up and down a multi-tiered management structure.
