The team

The consumer advice team sit in the energy team, whose purpose is to enable households, small businesses and communities to have affordable energy costs and reduce carbon emissions that contribute to climate change.

We provide energy advice services, renewable energy expertise and manage and administer loans and grants for energy saving and low or zero carbon improvements to homes and businesses on behalf of governments, local authorities and businesses. Our work is service focussed and seeing the impact we have on the lives of people we support is what brings us to work each day.

The role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong business analysis and problem solving skills. You will be responsible for developing and improving tools and systems to support the delivery of energy advice and support to consumers. This includes developing the Home Energy Scotland customer relationship management (CRM) Microsoft Dynamics database to meet the needs of a number of Scottish Government programmes. It also includes responsibility for supporting Home Energy Scotland CRM users.

What you\'ll do

  • Identify and explore opportunities for service and business improvement.
  • Analyse high-impact business processes and recommend solutions that align with user needs and business strategy.
  • Carry out Microsoft Dynamics administration (on-premises and Cloud versions) and provide support to 300+ Microsoft Dynamics users across Energy Saving Trust and the advice centre networks.
  • Manage selected business tools and databases.
  • Line manage and support the CRM analyst to carry out Microsoft Dynamics administration and user support.
  • Carry out Microsoft Dynamics development.
  • Lead on software development projects.
What you\'ll bring
  • Business analysis skills with ability to investigate, analyse, visualise, articulate and solve complex problems and concepts.
  • Line management skills.
  • Software project management experience.
  • User focus with understanding of user-centred design.
  • Proven experience in Microsoft suite, including advanced Excel, PowerBI, SQL to query data and Visio.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Dynamics and ability to perform bulk data migrations and carry out all elements of system administration.
  • Experience of writing JavaScript to implement form logic on MS Dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with clients/users to translate their requirements into product features.
This is a permanent position. Our standard weekly hours are 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.

This will need to be a full-time role. We are open to flexible working locations (within the UK) and as standard we offer all contracts on blended (home and office-based) working.
