The position requires close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders to ensure that architecture aligns with enterprise strategy, governance standards, and evolving business needs. This role also involves contributing to technology research, developing business cases for emerging solutions, and providing design assurance for project deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Produce all architectural deliverables as part of the defined development methodology.
Identify architectural, technical, and security risks; manage mitigation activities with relevant stakeholders.
Ensure architecture decisions, divergences, and risks are clearly communicated and agreed upon.
Create repeatable architecture patterns and infrastructure solution designs with a strong emphasis on

Lead and provide technical direction to other solution architects and SMEs.
Conduct architectural assurance and quality reviews of peer deliverables to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies and services, developing business cases and presenting recommendations to the Architecture Design Authority.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Solution and Integration Architects, to ensure seamless delivery of IT solutions.
Provide architectural support and guidance to DevOps teams and Agile delivery squads.
Maintain alignment of the technology landscape with enterprise target architecture and drive system modernization or retirement as appropriate.
Demonstrated experience architecting and documenting solutions across
hybrid cloud
and
on-premises
environments, including integration with legacy systems.
Proven track record in
infrastructure solution design
, ensuring security, scalability, and performance in complex enterprise settings.
Strong exposure to
large-scale public cloud implementations
(preferably
Azure
).
Hands-on experience with
core technologies
, including Windows, Linux, Middleware, Databases, Web technologies, Security Gateways, LAN/WAN Networking, and
MuleSoft API Management
.
Deep understanding of
security and risk management
principles and their application in architecture.
Experience working in
highly regulated industries
(e.g., Financial Services) preferred.
Familiarity with
DevOps
,
Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD)
, and both
Agile
and
Waterfall
delivery methodologies.
Leadership & Governance
Experience leading
architectural design authorities
, working within enterprise governance frameworks and portfolio management structures.
Ability to define and enforce architecture standards, ensure design assurance, and provide governance across multiple technology domains.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage from
C-suite to technical delivery teams

Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technology, service, and security deliverables.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Skilled in preparing and presenting technology strategies and business cases to senior stakeholders.
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, work independently, and deliver high-quality outcomes in fast-paced environments.
Qualifications
Degree or HND in Information Technology (or equivalent professional experience).
Professional certifications such as
TOGAF
or
ITIL
are desirable but not mandatory.
Applied knowledge of
Open Agile Framework (Open.org)
is advantageous.
