Role Summary

As a Solution Architect within Willis' Global Digital Platforms team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a new composable architecture that supports strategic global solutions across platforms and data. This role is central to ensuring our technology foundations are fit for the agentic future--enabling intelligent, automated, and scalable digital solutions for the broking business.



You will collaborate closely with platform owners, data architects, and engineering teams to design and prototype modern, event-driven architectures that integrate seamlessly with Microsoft's AI ecosystem and Azure cloud services.


Key Responsibilities

Architecture Leadership

+ Design and deliver composable, scalable, and secure architecture solutions aligned with enterprise strategy.
+ Lead architectural reviews and provide technical guidance across platform and data teams.

Technology Enablement

+ Prototype and validate new architecture options using hands-on development.
+ Embed event-based integration patterns and microservices principles.
+ Ensure alignment with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Strategic Collaboration

+ Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams.
+ Translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
+ Support change initiatives and ensure minimal disruption to shared services.

Innovation & Future Readiness

+ Evaluate emerging technologies including Microsoft AI solutions and Azure innovations.
+ Contribute to the development of intelligent agents and automated workflows.
+ Ensure platforms are prepared for agentic capabilities and natural interaction models.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience in

Azure Solution and data architecture

, including cloud-native services and cost optimisation. Strong understanding of

Microsoft AI solutions

and their integration into enterprise platforms. Expertise in

solution architecture

, including design documentation and stakeholder engagement. Hands-on experience with

event-based integration patterns

and

microservices

. Ability to

prototype and demonstrate

architectural concepts. Awareness of

DevOps principles

, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated testing. Excellent communication and leadership skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
