Position

The position of Solutions Architect will be based from our head office in Lacock, Wiltshire with flexible working from home available. We're looking for a

Solutions Architect

who has a strong foundation in traditional on-premises infrastructure and has since evolved into a cloud-first Azure expert.



This person will be an

Azure expert

with a holistic understanding of IT environments - from servers, storage, and networking to hybrid and cloud-native solutions. You'll combine deep technical expertise with a consultative mindset, acting as a trusted advisor to our customers and helping to shape their digital transformation journeys. A methodical problem-solver with an enthusiastic "can do" attitude, you'll thrive in a collaborative environment and take pride in delivering solutions that add real value to our customers' businesses.

Main Duties

Architect and design

modern IT infrastructure solutions

, with a strong emphasis on

Azure

and

hybrid cloud

. Lead and deliver

projects and consultancy engagements

, ensuring technical excellence and customer satisfaction. Create

technical documentation

and

detailed work packages

to support project delivery. Work with customers on their

technical roadmaps

, providing expert guidance and future-facing recommendations. Conduct

infrastructure and cyber risk assessments

, and lead

Microsoft 365 adoption consultancy

. Act as a

technical escalation point

for Project Engineers and Consultants. Collaborate closely with the

Project Manager and Service Delivery Team

to ensure successful outcomes. Support the

Commercial Team

with presales input, solution design, and technical roadmaps. Provide

technical direction

to the Infrastructure Support Team on support and maintenance activities and provide support for major incidents and root cause analysis. Own Mintivo's

Azure product stack

, driving innovation and the development of new

cloud products and service offerings

that enhance our customer solutions and internal capabilities.

Essential Skills & Experience

At least 15 years' experience progressing through 1st/2nd/3rd line/TC to Architect Microsoft 365 including Modern Endpoint Management and Security Microsoft Azure (Migration, Deployment and Management of services) Hyper-V/VMware in both on-premises and hybrid deployments Networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, port forwarding and NAT etc.) Comfortable communicating at all levels including Management, Senior Leadership Team and Board/Directors Design and implementation of technical roadmaps, from start to finish

The following skills are desirable:

3CX VoIP Solutions Mail filtering tools (Mimecast, Barracuda etc.) SonicWALL security appliances Experience with Azure Site Recovery Microsoft SQL, Power BI, Data Visualisation Penetration Testing / Vulnerability Scanning Project Management Appreciation

Qualifications

Essential: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) Essential: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) Desirable: Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert

Notes

37.5 hours a week Mon-Fri, due to the nature of the job some occasional work at weekends and outside of normal hours may be required.

Travel to customer sites may be required so the ability to travel as and when required is essential.



This role requires Security Clearance, DBS and BPSS checks.
