Job description
An experienced Solutions Architect with a specialization in Identity and Access Management (IDAM) is sought for a contract role supporting the deployment of Saviynt as part of an internal cyber security project. This position plays a critical role in ensuring secure and scalable solutions across sectors such as Government, Transport, Utilities, and more. The ideal candidate will bring strong cyber security expertise and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Design technical solutions aligned with strategic goals, using established standards, patterns, and policies.
Translate business requirements into comprehensive design deliverables through collaboration with functional stakeholders.
Contribute to technology strategy, architectural roadmaps, and application standards.
Ensure project governance processes are followed and act as a validation point for solution designs.
Provide technical oversight of dependencies, escalating issues as needed to project managers and architectural governance forums.
Promote the reuse of designs and manage solution integration and retirement plans.
Maintain up-to-date documentation to support effective service transition and operational handover.
Coordinate internal and external technical teams to deliver successful solution outcomes.
Job Requirements:
Proven experience in delivering multiple identity and access management projects, with deep knowledge of their architectural components.
Operational understanding of complex environments including Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Entra ID.
Familiarity with architectural and security frameworks such as TOGAF, NIST Cyber Security Framework, GDS, ISF Standard, and SABSA.
Experience working across IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments, with knowledge of applicable UK industry standards and regulatory environments.
Understanding of data protection and security legislation including GDPR, DPA, PCI-DSS, and relevant UK Government Good Practice Guides.
Strong grasp of security methodologies and industry standards such as ISO27001, NIST, and SANS.
Preferred Qualifications:
TOGAF certification
Microsoft Azure Fundamentals and/or Advanced certifications
CISSP or equivalent industry certification
GIAC, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent qualifications
