The role
We are looking to appoint an experienced Solutions Architect to join our rapidly expanding Tech Department and bring technical knowhow, along with commercial acumen, to ensure Everflow becomes THE Utility provider of the future.
What you will be doing:
Work closely with the existing and lead Solutions Architects to:
Collaborate with the business, product and development teams to ensure that software is built to specifications and that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly.
Support the development of technical specifications and design documents for software projects.
Assist in the development of systems architectures in specific business, infrastructure, or functional areas.
Evaluate new technologies and tools for potential use in software development and business or infrastructure projects.
Provide advice, guidance, and expertise to support adoption of methods to ensure adherence to policies and standards,
Review and, improve, the usage and application of methods and tools.
Assist in scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for large / complex initiatives.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in solutions architecture, and evaluate their applicability to our projects.
What we are looking for:
To be successful in this position, you will need to possess the following:
Demonstrable experience in technical delivery with a proven record in undertaking design and architecture activities
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Solution / Enterprise design experience
Experience with, and knowledge of, current generative AI concepts and tooling.
Design methodology (e.g. UML, BPMN) experience
Agile delivery (e.g. scrum) experience
A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning
Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail.
Show initiative and self-confidence, be adaptable and can cope with changing and evolving priorities.
Must have the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
Provide advice and guidance to consultants and/or the customer or other stakeholders through involvement in the delivery of consultancy services.
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Maths, Science, Engineering, Computing, etc.) or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience
