We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in medical terminology. As a Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the overall care of our patients.
Duties
Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring high-quality images are captured for diagnostic purposes.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss findings and provide insights based on imaging results.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
Ensure the proper functioning of ultrasound equipment through regular checks and maintenance.
Educate patients about the procedure, addressing any concerns they may have prior to the examination.
Stay updated with advancements in sonography techniques and technologies, including CT and mammography practices.
Requirements
A recognised qualification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential.
Experience or training in CT imaging is highly desirable.
Familiarity with mammography techniques is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to patients and colleagues.
