The Oaks Hotel is a 13-bedroom hotel located in a small rural town, dedicated to providing exceptional hospitality and a memorable dining experience for our guests. We have a Restaurant, Bar, Small Function Room and Outdoor Area where food is served.
Summary
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our small team at The Oaks Hotel. In this role, you will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety while contributing to our mission of delivering outstanding service to our guests.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff.
Prepare and present high-quality dishes in accordance with the hotel's standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specials.
Manage inventory and assist in ordering supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role in a restaurant or hotel setting.
A passion for food preparation and presentation.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Good time keeping and reliability.
