Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of Care Homes, ensuring that high standards of food preparation and presentation are consistently met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while developing your culinary skills and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Ensure that all food production is carried out in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained. Collaborate with the culinary team to create new menu items and improve existing recipes.

Skills

Strong background in food preparation and production within a restaurant setting. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively. Comprehensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. DBS needs to be on the update service

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
