Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our Kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, along with the ability to cope with a busy food service operation. Experience in a banqueting operation is preferable but not essential for this role. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Assist the Kitchen Manager & Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices within the kitchen. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure seamless kitchen operations. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained, cleaned, and in good working order.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant, hotel or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Proficient in food preparation methods, cooking techniques, and presentation styles. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Pay: From 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
