Job Description

Sous chef required for The Hunters Lodge Inn experience essential. We believe in a good work/life balance out chefs have at least 2 days off per week even through the busy summer months, 5.6 weeks paid annual leave (pro rata) company pension scheme, equal share of tips for each service typically worth 50 to 100 per week. On average chefs work 45 hours per week and pay is made weekly by Bacs every Monday. Remuneration is based on experience but typically this position would pay 36,000 to 38,000 per year. The ideal candidate will be able to produce high quality food under pressure with a cool head and temperament, working in a family run business

Summary



As a Sous chef, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality culinary experiences while maintaining kitchen operations. Reporting to the head chef and directors, you will utilize your core skills in food preparation, cooking, and food safety to create exceptional dishes. Your premium skills in supervising and team management will ensure a cohesive kitchen environment. With relevant experience in restaurant settings, you will contribute to maintaining high standards of hospitality and efficiency. Qualifications



Work closely with our head chef to form a team approach and oversee the kitchen in his absense Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment Strong culinary skills with a focus on food safety and hygiene Leadership abilities to manage kitchen staff and oversee food production Experience in hospitality and customer service Background in restaurant operations and serving Supervisory experience and team management skills are highly desirable
