Duties

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and managing food production. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure that all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Help develop new menu items and contribute creative ideas for seasonal offerings. Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring consistency across all dishes served. Assist with scheduling kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak service times.

Experience

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and production processes. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
