Overview


We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, with experience in food production and a keen eye for detail. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation, and leading the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and managing staff. Supervise and train kitchen personnel, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, following health and safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and presented attractively. Handle any customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment. Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising staff. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred but not essential. Previous experience in fine dining or high-volume kitchens is advantageous. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.25-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
