We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and staff.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Handle any customer complaints or feedback regarding food quality or service.
Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices.
Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively within a team.
Previous experience supervising kitchen staff is highly desirable.
