Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food production. Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and best practices. Prepare and present high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times. Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary. Help create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation. Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A creative mindset with an eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
