Based outside Banbury, our restaurant works closely with our neighbouring farm;

so we only use fresh, locally sourced produce in all our meals.
We are looking for a highly motivated, organised and detail oriented
Sous Chef
to join our team. This role is ideal for a chef who is craving more of a work/life balance. Your work pattern will consist of 3 single shifts, and 2 split shifts each week.
We pride ourselves on our fresh approach to food. You will have experience in the preparation and service of fresh food and keen to develop working alongside our Head Chef.
Role requirements:
Ensuring the smooth running of the section and to see that all areas of that section maintain the restaurant standards.
Ensuring all mise en place is finished on time and is of the highest possible standard.
Working to specifications regarding portion size, quantity and quality as stated in recipes
Rotating stock in fridges daily and maintain consistency of product freshness, and use correct labels corresponding to that date
Applying discretion in regard to ordering and food wastage
Keep a clean and sanitary kitchen
