Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff. Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and enhance existing offerings. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained. Handle any customer feedback or concerns regarding food quality or service.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen management. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. A passion for food production and an understanding of current culinary trends. Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not essential.
