Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, along with proven supervisory experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Duties

Assist in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring they meet the restaurant's standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Oversee food production processes, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. Collaborate with the Head Chef to manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs. Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain a positive working environment by fostering teamwork and effective communication among staff members. Monitor kitchen operations to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality control.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards in the kitchen. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is highly desirable.
