Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest culinary standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Monitor food presentation and portion control to maintain quality consistency.
Address any issues that arise within the kitchen promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
