Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and managing kitchen staff. Supervise food production and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Handle any customer complaints or issues related to food quality or service.

Skills

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen environment. Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals. In-depth knowledge of culinary practices, food safety regulations, and hospitality standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
