Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This position requires a strong culinary background, excellent leadership skills, Must Be able to work as part of team and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
Duties
Assist the Head Chef in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as necessary.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and kitchen policies.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and report any issues to management promptly.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Proven experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing team dynamics effectively.
Must have previous carving experience.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and foster a positive working environment.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within the kitchen.
