Overview


We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and hospitality, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in daily operations, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

Duties



Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes served. Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and reducing waste. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Address any issues that arise during service promptly and effectively.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Cook or Sous Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. A passion for hospitality and delivering an outstanding dining experience. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
