Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities, ensuring efficient food production. Assist in menu planning and recipe development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal dishes. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Excellent team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team. Culinary experience with a solid understanding of various cooking methods and cuisines. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable. Exceptional leadership qualities with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
