Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff. Oversee food preparation and production processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Help with menu planning, including the development of new dishes and seasonal offerings. Monitor inventory levels, assisting with ordering supplies as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in team management and supervision. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for food production and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential.
