Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. This position requires a passion for food preparation and production, as well as strong leadership abilities to manage and inspire the kitchen staff. The Sous Chef will ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation while maintaining food safety protocols.

Duties



Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring that all food is prepared according to recipes and standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes. Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan menus, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen procedures. Help manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock. Address any issues that arise during service promptly and effectively.

Qualifications



Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or similar kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Proficiency in various cooking techniques and methods. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to help create exceptional dining experiences.

Pay: 32,000.00-35,000.00 per year
