We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation are maintained. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation assistants, ensuring efficient workflow
Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and equipment
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Support cooking activities during busy service periods, demonstrating leadership in food preparation and presentation
Train new team members on kitchen procedures, safety protocols, and culinary techniques
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team
Solid knowledge of kitchen safety standards and food hygiene regulations
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Passion for culinary excellence and continuous learning in the hospitality industry
Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and management
