We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the F&B Manager in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation. This role requires a strong understanding of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and the ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff effectively.
Responsibilities
Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards.
Manage inventory levels, ensuring proper stock rotation and minimising waste.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Skills
Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food preparation.
Proven leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen teams.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A background in hospitality or restaurant management is advantageous.
