Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that all food preparation meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires a strong background in food production and culinary arts, as well as excellent team management skills to lead and inspire kitchen staff.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation. Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and cooking techniques. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Help in menu planning, including the creation of new dishes and seasonal offerings. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as necessary. Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards before serving. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, staff performance, and operational improvements.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes.
